Toad Abode Productions Ltd is a Bristol-based independent Production company, which specialises in short-form content across fiction and as of early 2022, Corporate Business videos, created for all your business / consumer needs.
Company Director Rhys Freeman prides his company on innovative, unique and powerful new ideas, which will grab audience’s attentions, in any capacity.
With some of the best freelancers in the country, Rhys alongside Luke Fleming (Director of Photography), have a high success rate at delivering projects to a very high, cinematic standard, on-budget and on-time. As as well as having a strong working relationship, taking projects to new levels, where possible.
Our Story
Toad Abode Productions Ltd was founded in the summer of 2021, as Rhys Freeman and his team ramped-up productions in the short film game. Before the creation of Toad Abode, Rhys had ventured into one previous project, a short zoom film called 'Just Three Little Words'. After consulting with his closest colleagues and with the way forward being more productions, the decision to create the Toad Abode family was made. A number of productions to start off were in-house, where Rhys had written them, along with one written by Ellie Kitchener.
Toad Abode’s first major production was a proof-of-concept of Rhys’ multi-award winning TV Pilot, 'You, Me & The Ex', starring Scott Rose-Marsh & Tayla Kenyon. Rhys alongside DOP Luke Fleming, delivered an enticing opening scene to the pilot. Rhys and Luke’s relationship has progressed since then and together they’ve delivered 'A Paper Trail of the Heart' and the big-budget short film set in a diner, 'Wearing The Trousers', starring Amber Doig-Thorne and Joe Carter. Since the beginning of 2022, Toad Abode Productions has moved across into corporate work. In February 2022, alongside Fen Tiger Productions, Toad Abode Productions produced 'Don’t Tell Me', a hard-hitting, award-wining, short drama.
2023 sees Toad Abode’s first feature film 'When Two Worlds Collide' entering Production, alongside delivering more exciting and wonderful things in the world of film.

Rhys Freeman
Rhys is the founder of Toad Abode Productions. He is a multi-award winning Screenwriter/Producer and Director. With his background being in scriptwriting, Rhys always likes to take on the challenge of conception of ideas, right the way through to distribution of projects. In his spare time, Rhys loves following his football team around the country and spending time on the golf course.
2023 sees the release of Rhys' debut novel.
